I play with paper. Cutting and pasting to create volumes and shapes. I'm inspired by the infinite colors of nature, its surprising shapes its intricate textures.

My name is Carmen Orăşanu. My play with paper began in 2011 as The Mistique Moth. Since then, the metamorphosis of such commonplace material into meaningful pieces has never ceased to fascinate me.

Paper is contradictory, provocative and humble because it is ephemeral.
